- Collaboration with other educational facilities and organisations
- Financial support/scholarships for research projects to support individuals or organisations to deliver innovative health education programs

- Development and delivery of charitable health education projects (either independently or in collaboration with other organisations)
The Foundation operates as a separate division within HEAL and has its own Terms of Reference.
HEAL Foundation grants are provided to the HEAL Thought Leaders Program, the Australasian Institute of Clinical Governance (AICG, a Division of HEAL), and successful (external) recipients from the healthcare industry. The HEAL Foundation also facilitated funding to several eligible practices within the Central Highlands General Practice Network in Victoria.
